  • Saving or adjusting cage coordinates when you reposition a location pin.

Location information is used only for these operational features and is not used for advertising, tracking, or profiling.

 

5.5. CageWatch Device and Operational Data

When interacting with CageWatch hardware or Services, we may collect operational data including:

  • Public device identifiers,
  • Cage IDs and sensor serial numbers,
  • Slot counts and configuration details,
  • Firmware and hardware versions,
  • Battery status, inventory levels, and fullness readings,
  • Telemetry snapshots,
  • Cage location coordinates.

 

5.6. Bluetooth Information (App Use Only)

If you grant permission, the App uses Bluetooth to scan for and connect to nearby CageWatch hardware during onboarding, configuration, and diagnostics.

  • Bluetooth is used solely to identify CageWatch devices and exchange setup or troubleshooting data.
  • We do not use Bluetooth for proximity tracking, advertising, or crossapp monitoring.
  • Bluetooth scan results are processed on your device and are not used to identify nonCageWatch hardware.

 

5.7. Camera and QR Code Scanning

If you grant permission, the App may access your device’s camera to scan CageWatch QR codes during setup.

  • Images and video frames used for QR scanning are processed locally on your device.
  • We do not store, transmit, upload, or retain camera images or video.

 

5.8. Biometric Authentication (Face ID / Touch ID)

If you enable biometric authentication, the App may use Face ID or Touch ID to unlock your session.

  • Biometric data is processed entirely on your device by iOS.
  • CageWatch receives only a success/failure signal.
  • We do not receive, store, or access your biometric information.

 

5.9. Local Device Preferences

The App stores certain preferences locally on your device, including:

  • Default mapping application,
  • Biometric unlock preference,
  • Prompt dismissal state,
  • Session/authentication state.

These preferences are stored using Apple’s UserDefaults and are not transmitted to our servers unless required for account functionality.

When you contact support through the App or Website, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and the contents of your message to assist with troubleshooting and customer service.
